CHAPTER 5 IS LIVE!

Chapter 5 of SUN PRINCESS, “Who’s Got Your Back”, will start updating tomorrow! I’m very excited to share it, though I have to change the update schedule to one page a week. This may or may not be the norm going forward, depending. This is because I need to focus on other projects for the rest of the year (more on that later). Luckily, that gives about a 30 week buffer, so hopefully that’ll be enough time to catch up.

Chapter 4 has also started posting on Tapas, finally. Sorry for the delay. They will now be longer, monthly updates as well.

CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN IMMINENT

Part of the reason for the delay on starting Chapter 6 is… PREPARING A PHYSICAL EDITION OF VOLUME 1 OF SUN PRINCESS!!!!

For this reason, I need to go back and remaster some of the art and lettering, compile chapters 1-5. and prepare a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. I’m hoping to launch in mid September, so please keep a look-out for updates.

Sun Princess Finishes Its First Arc!

First of all, as always, thank you so much for reading and supporting Sun Princess as it approaches its 2nd Anniversary! As of April 1st 2026, Chapter 3 will finish posting on all mirrors, including Tapas and Manga Plus Creators. I’ll be doing a BIG PUSH to get Chapter 3 to chart again – this will be the last time SP will be eligible for the monthly rankings, so I’d appreciate any likes, comments, or shares on the website when it goes live!! Chapter 4 Progress!

In other news, CHAPTER 4 is almost DONE! This is the beginning of the Try-Out arc, showing Zettie’s anxiety inducing travel shenanigans. Estimated release date is Early April 2026!

– Story –

After awakening in the world of the deceased, a young man with no memories must make his way back to life. As he travels, he may just find the things that make life worth living. This is the story of how Nyx begins his tale, and what kicks off his journey with others from the realm of the departed. As the group slowly grows and bonds, they find strength in one another and those they meet. Surrounded by regret and mourning, Nyx and friends help where they can and stand against the wrongs they see.

While Nyx’s nature makes him an oddity in the setting, it also makes him a target to others. With his abilities to briefly revive and host those who lost their bodies, his abilities draw interest from those who would claim it for themselves or those who cannot abide his presence. One who takes issue with Nyx’s presence is Judgment, the authority of this world, who sends the Cavalry of Pale Riders after him. With each wielding weapons crafted of memory incarnate, the Pale Riders are only the first hurdles in the journey to the world of the living.

Although the story starts with Nyx, we gradually learn about both his companions and his foes. The different circumstances of life that led them to their own decisions and the crossroads they find themselves at. Even though they have departed the living, the risk of permanent nonexistence due to Oblivion or Cessation loom for the nonliving, urging them on. Between the moments of action and introspection, plans are laid for those who would return to the living world.
