Afflictions and diseases of magical origin. Very often they come from contact with Spites or over exposure to Dread. The accursed, before modern times, were treated as pariahs or quarantined, least they spread their evils. Now the accursed have rights and protections in society, and should be treated as any other sick or disabled persons. Their afflictions can be physical expressions, like Mr. Felix, or hidden triggers, like Zettie.

“KIMELEA ETHERUS NERVOSA” – The haunting of the Spirit Gate by a parasitic Spite. During points of heightened emotional stress, the Spite can overtake its Host’s consciousness. Beside obvious incapacitation, this also allows the Spite to feast on the host’s magical energy. The parasite is greedy, leaving just enough to keep their host alive, but extremely weak. Due to low ether levels, Zettie has been in and out of hospitals for most of her youth. She always keeps a box of EtherAde+ with her to manage her symptoms. There is no cure.
